13 years in the making, "Survival Tactics" is a concept album that explores the themes of human behaviour, isolation, conflict, and abandonment of planet Earth. Against the backdrop of a world torn apart by ecological collapse, austerity, and the pervasive grip of neo-liberalism, the album is a musical meditation on the potential reality of the years to come.

"Survival Tactics" is divided into two sides: the Earth Side, featuring tracks 1-8, and the Abandoned Earth Side, featuring tracks 9-13. Each track on the album offers a unique sonic exploration of the emotions and experiences of those who remain on Earth, as well as those who have abandoned it for the escapist concept of distant space travel.

iubar project’s philosophically charged music is an ode to resistance and hope which invites listeners to confront the harsh realities of a world in crisis and get a glimpse into a possible future where survival is only an option. Through its stunning sonic landscapes, the album serves as a call to action and a testament to the human spirit's capacity for resilience and change.

About iUBAR Project:
iubar is an award-winning collaborative project hailing from Australia, led by Polish-born Martin K. Koszolko, known for his work with electronic and indie pop music acts KOshowKO and Philosophy of Sound. Martin holds a PhD in Remote Music Collaboration technologies and is an accomplished sound researcher.

iubar's signature sound is story-driven ambient, created using a blend of analogue and digital instrumentation, featuring field recordings and mobile technologies. iubar's origins can be traced back to 2009 when Martin's high school friend from Poland, Jarek Binkowski, recorded multiple electric guitar drones and riffs, becoming the foundation of their first compositions.

Over the years, iubar has collaborated with other talented musicians, including Modus Op, resulting in the piece 'Untold,' which features private family conversations describing hardships experienced during World War II. In 2019, iubar released their collaborative single 'Nowy,' produced by musicians from England, Australia and Croatia who had never met face-to-face.

iubar project’s live performances incorporate mobile music-making technologies, as well as site-specific audience sampling techniques developed through live performances in Poland and Australia. The project has received international recognition, earning two Best Music Awards in 2021 for iubar's music featured in the short film 'Earth’ as well as receiving the award for Best Music in the Green Philosophy Film Festival in 2022. The awarded compositions are featured alongside other material on this album.
