Surprise! Halogen Star is back! Our prolific ambient techno star simply could not fade, and here we are - six months after the release of his first swan song 'The Communities of Succour', staring up at a new full-length offering of wondrous shimmer. It is in total blessing we have received yet another excellent, emotive work to continue Gareth Sloan's stellar streak of albums.

'Boundless Imaginations' builds from tracks featured on 'The Communities of Succour', as well as the preliminary EP from earlier this year, 'Break New Ground'. Halogen Star constructs a fresh vision of pulse-pounding grooves and spacious soundscapes here, extending or shearing prior compositions where appropriate. Gareth doesn't stop there, supplying us with six new songs in stylistic synthesis with his newly refurbished tracks, to make for a totally cohesive assemblage of sounds new & old.

Whether Halogen Star is here to stay in an album capacity or not is uncertain. The future remains an unwritten space of infinite potentiality. What is clear to us is that 'Boundless Imaginations' doesn't skip a beat in extending his lineage of creative works, an album refined to a cathartic high upon reaching its eponymous closer.
