Nobey One - Surfing the Primordial Soup

Runtime: 39:26

Nobey One transmutes the sounds that once looked to the new millennium on his latest full-length album with Vivarium, 'Surfing the Primordial Soup'. By sourcing various Y2K soundbytes seeking to herald the bright, optimistic future that was to be and chopping them into cuts of curious IDM and strange, haunted ambient soup, Rayburn rebuts the false prophecy of Frutiger Aero and Web 2.0 with cryptic collages emanating a retrograde miasma.

From these hopeful, chintzy seeds of promise instead emerges a hulking sludge of electronic sound, balanced against cool grooves rendered with a strange allure now removed from their original context. Culminating in a lengthy collab with CHROM-47 that gathers these ingredients into a great, foreboding stew, Nobey One invites us to surf this primordial wake and witness for ourselves what the turn of the klloannum truly wrought.
