Siphon Racket

from GATE by Kid Mania

/

lyrics

The siphon racket cuts bits of reality for quantum storage
Later smuggled out to advanced civilizations
Who pay large for playback
Sometimes as illicit entertainment
Sometimes as research
Sometimes as, um, ‘military precaution’.

Jacky Blue Note, a rogue Archon
With the Nova Mob
Back on-planet and operatin a siphon racket
Got the Vapor Kid on for the ride.

Lately Blue Note’s bin runnin a side game
Infectin new worlds with the language virus
Then pushin their culture
A near-pure variation of the religion drug
Never seen anything quite so addictive,
Screamin fanaticism and rivers of blood—

Anyway.

The Blue Note ain’t your average creature, see
Non-corporeal existence,
Needs to inhabit a biological entity
To interact with the other life forms

(On Menzora, the Vapor Kid once witnessed Jacky
As an evangelical preacher,
His flock so strung-out on belief
That when the Blue Note told em to drink the kool-aid
They torched their whole fuckin planet)

Naturally all of this is highly illegal

But Jacky’s unique form and exotic tech
Allow the Blue Note to easily escape
Both the intergalactic Nova Heat
And the Dremchak Corporation

However, word on the street
Has the Blue Note detected, triangulated
Dremchak Preservers closin in on the coordinate points
Closin in onna not-so-safe house. . .
