Steven K Love how the tracklist reads like a poem to all those forever stuck on hold as they wait for someone human to answer. The intense static and slow vapor jams allow this release to gracefully walk the line between signalwave and classic slow vapor jams. Worth a listen. Ohsaurus (Webelotrax) Huge focus on emotion and texture in this one, making me feel like I am standing in a hotel lobby in 1994 waiting on hold on a payphone. The whole release also gave me very light Steely Dan vibes, particularly with the highlighted samples and melodies used. Overall a very enjoyable listen! Favorite track: this call may be monitered and/or recorded.

The experience one has being put on hold is difficult to accurately describe. Often times there will be corporate lounge music or the occasional pop hit, but it's usually filtered through so much interference the enjoyment factor is drastically reduced. LVSTER attempts to replicate that experience on Your Call is Very Important to Us, not through precision, but through tone. Instead of slight interference and high frequencies, these vapor jams are muddy and mixed in with an ear grating buzz that matches that experience to a T. All the while, there are plenty of laughs to be had and a lot of cerebral appeal to the vaporwave genre at whole on this stunning lo-fi debut.
