There has to be a connection. There's no reasonable explanation why the rich get richer while the poor go extinct. Yet those explanations surround us in our everyday lives, they're just explanations that the rich don't necessarily want to hear. Kid Mania takes us down another deep web rabbit hole into reality on VANITY, exploring how the elite have stayed on top from the perspective of those they have wronged. Brimming with conspiracy and horrifying truths that we'd rather forget, this album somehow raises the bar for how dark Kid Mania can get, both thematically and in his own sound pallette.

VANITY is in essence the Kid Mania toolset being used in its most maximalist form. Blast beats accompanied by intense drones and disorienting samples, all while more than filling the quota for meaningful sound collaging. Musically, it is perhaps his most robust work yet. Where other works from Kid Mania may lead some to question what is being presented other than a dystopian mirror of reality, the progression of sounds and narrative are truly intertwined. It is one of the most harrowing experiences Vivarium Recordings has ever released. We both hope and dare you to enjoy what you are about to hear.
