Carefully stitched piece-by-piece into an intricate plunderphonic puzzle, Subliminal Physiognomy collages a potpourri of nostalgic source material into a listen unlike any other. A mangled feed of media tuned to Hootie's own idiosyncratic frequency, this album summons voices both eerily familiar and confoundingly obscure to tell it's tale of withered memory.

Across this fantastical journey to the Kingdom Or, the listener is interrogated with recurring notions of identity and the ever-obfuscating realm of the mind, a stream of delirium so dizzying that by the end we are left with in a truly delighted state of dubiety.

Shining a light on our quest into the maze, the skater supreme offers this clue to his cypher:

“subliminal  - (of a stimulus or mental process) below the threshold of sensation or consciousness; perceived or affecting someone’s mind without their being aware of it
