Saru After bulk-buying label discographies, I have a bunch of random albums that I have to sit through with no clear start. This album stood out to me. I saw the title to this album and made a soyjack face pointing at my monitor saying “APHEX TWIN” and drooling on my keyboard. I love this shit. I’ve never heard of Brobient music but god damn is it cool. I thought it was just going to be some one off thought experiment but there are some genuinely beautiful sections of this album. Very cool, nice job! Favorite track: Aleph-7 - A Brone Track Made by an Enby & Sampling a Track Made by a Woman.

Selected Brobient Works, Vol. 1

Runtime: 1:15:05

In the summer of 2020, a group of outsider artists from various realms of internet electronic music started manipulating brostep into intangible ambient soundscapes. It was the dawn of brobient. Or brone. No one has really come to a solid conclusion, but that's besides the point. It's drone and ambient made out of brostep, okay? In the 5 months since the release of Toze H's seminal album, Pussy Fridge, the brobient roster expanded and continually saw new ideas that challenged the notion of what this genre could be. A challenge of masculinity? A portrait of a field lost in time? A tinnitus speedrun? We're here to say that all of the above are true.

Vivarium Recordings has been very pleased to welcome a number of brobient artists on our stage. On this day, the 5 month anniversary of that bizarre album with the top tier name and new strange sound (because why would we pick something proper like 6 months or a full year), the elusive no29 has compiled some of the most dizzying music not yet utilized at Guantanamo. This is Selected Brobient Works, Vol. 1.

Selected Brobient Works, Vol. 1 was written and produced by The Brone Hivemind.
Recorded and mastereddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd///////////.
Artwork by no29 & Codex.
