Progressive electronic artist Janis Lago delivers their ninth full-length project under the name for 2021, deconstructing the sounds of jungle and drum 'n bass and reconstructing it's residual sonic shards into harrowing walls of noise and ethereal ambience. Each of repeat, repeat, repeat's four movements conjures an industrial drama of various intersecting elements, some meeting in a storm of cacophony, others settling into a tranquil spell of drone, with occasional bursts of bona fide jungle punctuating the fray. By the time the sonic extremity has subsided, a disquiet hangs over the listener - an eerie vapor of unrest that lingers well after the dust has settled.
