The rapid evolution of HexD has made for the most exciting internet music movement in recent memory. The genre saw substantial expansion in 2020, as the scene was graced with a plethora of landmark releases. It was at this time that iANO would begin exploring his unique take on the mode with his EP series 'Stacks of Cash and Despair', an ambitious five-part exploration into HexD that tested the stylistic boundaries of the form and quietly pushed it forward. While iterations incorporating elements of cloud rap and vapor found great following in the zeitgeist, iANO's work ventured into more esoteric realms which the banner of HexD could blanket, such as Shoegaze, Wave, Ambient Techno and even Black Metal, embellishing their tracks with adventurous song structures and a considerable ear for composition.

His debut album 'Dispossession' feels like the culmination of, not simply his work prior to its release, but the genre as a whole. Consider it something of a 'George Clanton moment' for the scene - an instant classic in HexD from an artist with a firm command of both the aesthetic expression of the sound and how to imbue it with an emotionally stirring pop sensibility that is sure to resonate with both newcomers and fans invested in the potential of HexD since 2018. Populated with memorable melody, evocative vocal harmonies, exhilarating beats, grandiose composition and a glimmering sheen of bitcrush to lose yourself in, 'Dispossession' makes good on the promise of iANO's creative endeavors thus far whilst offering a wholly new visions of his music.
