If anything can be said about acidpanther, it's that he's never comfortable creating the same thing twice. Following up his debut album Sunrise Sensations on Sunset Grid, the Washington producer attempts to improve upon his classic vaporwave roots by weaving between delicate sampling and heavy retrofuturist synth compositions. The end product, Dawnbreak Remainder, is effectively a narrative soundtrack for a cyberpunk film that never existed, documenting a neverending night and the hope for a brighter tomorrow.

This album makes you feel like you're inside an old computer that is on it's last legs. Everything is glitchy, aggressive, and decaying around you. There are only a few moments where it feels something is still functioning and intact, only to be followed by more sounds of disrepair. Truly a special experience. icu8some2
