Getting past a bad breakup is often an insurmountable task, but that challenge is even greater when you've never even seen the other person on the other side of the relationship. In what is possibly the most immature breakup album ever created, Vivarium Recordings co-owner jobert channels the emotional instability and childish outbursts of a young flame that was put out much too early for one and much too late for another.

Despite jobert's uniquely bright approach to vaportrap, there is a brooding darkness behind Asynchronous. A tension that starts as an extreme infatuation to the point of obsession that ultimately results in a feeling of loss over something that was never really there. In constrast to some of his previous work, this album feels significantly more reined in, trading the near constant barage of memery to focus on individual stages of loss through multiple phases of percussive creativity. Just like a doomed relationship that never was, Asynchonous similarly leaves us on a note of contentment. It never really happened, but it felt more than real.

Asynchronous was written and produced by Joe Bailey as jobert. Recorded and mastered on a late night discord call with your online girlfriend that lives 6 states away between November of 2018 and August of 2019.
